OUR VISION is to be a church committed to raising and training generations of spirit-filled, supernatural disciples of Jesus Christ who are extending the Kingdom of God to our neighbors and the nations.

At NEW COVENANT, we believe the church that Christ is building should adhere closely to the divine values and principles as seen in the written Word of God. We have core values and principles that directly support the vision and mission God has revealed to NEW COVENANT CHURCH. VALUE GOD’S WORD.
We believe that the Bible is God’s inspired Word, the authoritative and trustworthy rule of faith and practice for all Christians from which comes our Tenets of Faith. (2 Timothy 3:16; 2:15)
VALUE GOD’S MANIFESTED PRESENCE THROUGH BIBLICAL
PRAISE AND WORSHIP – To enjoy God’s felt-realized presence is our passion as a church. We believe there is a presence of God available to God’s people as they follow the Biblical order of worship as seen in the Psalms and birthed in the Tabernacle of David in the Old Testament. Within this belief is the concept that we as believers are to be spiritual priests who offer up spiritual sacrifices to God. One of the primary sacrifices is the “fruit of our lips” or our audible worship given to God. Biblical worship is spontaneous and demonstrative and is characterized by the biblical expressions of clapping, shouting, singing, dancing, lifting hands, bowing and kneeling. (Psalms 22:3,
VALUE HOLY SPIRIT ACTIVITY
Both in our personal and corporate life as believers, we welcome the moving of the Holy Spirit. We believe that the gifts of the Spirit enumerated in 1 Corinthians 12:7-11 are not only for today, but should be desired, sought after
and evidenced in the church. It’s our mission to see every person functioning in their gifts and callings. If there was ever a time that these gifts were needed, it is today. We do not believe that these gifts were only for the early Church 2000 years ago. They are to be a part of the Church right up to the return of Christ for His Bride. The
50 baptism of the Holy Spirit and the gifts of the Holy Spirit are part of our basic belief system. (1 Corinthians 12:1-14:39, Ephesians 4:16)
VALUE LOCAL CHURCH
We believe that the Church which began with great power and anointing fully functioning as God’s instrument in the earth went through a period of serious spiritual and doctrinal decline through the Middle Ages. Since the days of Martin Luther, God has been in the process of restoring the Church to her former glory and power. We believe that God is focusing on building the local church in these days. While we all recognize and understand that the larger Body of Christ encompasses all believers, every believer must find himself or herself in right relationship to God and to a specific local church. We believe that the extension of the Kingdom of God is the function and ministry of the Church. The Church, which is composed of both Jew and Gentile, is God’s instrument in the earth to establish God’s rule and His reign. The Church is the instrument; the Kingdom is the message. If the Church is going to fulfill its God-given calling, it must reclaim its primary function of bringing the lost to Christ and extending the borders of
God’s kingdom until the glory of the Lord covers the earth as the waters cover the sea. (Isaiah 60:1-5)
VALUE GENEROUS GIVING
NEW COVENANT is a church that is committed to the giving of tithes and offerings. A tithe in the Greek and Hebrew means a tenth. We believe God wants us to be faithful stewards over all that we have, and a good steward knows that all their money and possessions belong to God. Giving a tenth is saying, “Lord, I’m not addicted to it. It doesn’t have me. I have it.” We believe the tithe is the Lord’s, and goes into the storehouse where you’re being fed. Offerings are above the tithe and goes where the Lord directs you. We believe that we are to not only meet the spiritual needs of people, but also doing whatever we need to do as a local body to wisely meet the natural physical needs of people; not only to assist those in our church family with needs, but to also reach out to be a channel of blessing in our community in many different ways. We will always be generous in our giving to special speakers, our fathers in the faith, and to missionaries and those ministering overseas. If we sow bountifully, we will also reap bountifully. (2 Corinthians 9:6-10, Malachi 3:8-12)
VALUE THE FAMILY
We believe that at the same time God is restoring His Church, He is also restoring the natural family to its proper place and function. God is turning the hearts of the fathers to the children and the hearts of the children to the fathers. God is in the process of healing marriages, strengthening parents and teaching men and women more about their God-given roles. He is doing this because He wants to use a godly seed in this generation to rise up
and destroy the works of the wicked one. Such a prodigy will need to be parented by those who understand God’s purpose and have kingdom priorities established in their life. We express this commitment in our strong emphasis on family in preaching, teaching, available counseling, standing with and supporting families who choose any of the following ways to educate their children: public schools, Christian schools, and home school. (Jeremiah 31:1, Malachi 4:6, 2 Timothy 3:2, Ephesians 6:1-4, Proverbs 22:6)
VALUE THE PRINCIPLE OF UNITY
Not conformity but unity of spirit and principle. Unity may express itself in a variety of ways but still maintain the same principles and convictions so as to flow together in accomplishing vision. We believe that we as a local church should be inclusive and actively seek to include all peoples of all races, ethnic origins and social and economic standings. The Church of Jesus Christ is a multi-ethnic group that has within it the seeds for demolishing the scourge of racial prejudice. God’s purpose is to make all people into one for the glory of God. We will unite and
fellowship with other Pastors and churches in our region to see John 17 fulfilled, realizing we cannot do the job by ourselves. We need each other to successfully bring in the harvest. (Psalm 133:1-3, John 17:1-26, I Corinthians 1:10)
VALUE THE HOLINESS OF GOD
Holiness is not legalism that is measured by outward looks, but is a true cleansing of the believer by the power of the Holy Spirit that is evidenced in Christian character and conduct. (1 Peter 1:14- 16)
VALUE FERVENT PRAYER
The voice of prayer is heard as we pray out loud together in our home prayer groups and pre-service prayer times. This principle of prayer is believed to be the motor or powerhouse to our church life. Individual praying and fasting and prayer for the whole church are absolutely essential if the Church is to succeed. The New Testament Church was birthed in prayer, it continued steadfast in prayer and bathed all of its activities and ministries in prayer. In fact, when the Bible labels the Church or the House of God, the label it gives it is “a house of prayer for all nations”. If that is the name that God has chosen for His house, prayer should be a major focus of the Church. Prayer is a pipeline
through which the Spirit moves. (2 Chronicles 7:14, James 5:16, Isaiah 56:7)
We believe God deserves the best we have to offer; therefore we seek to maintain a high quality of excellence in everything connected to the work of God. We believe that excellence honors God and inspires people. (Exodus 31:1-3, Colossians 3:23)
To love and accept one another unconditionally is our goal as we endeavor to make this practical through interacting in one on one relationships, as well as small groups, men and women’s Bible studies and accountability groups, where every believer is encouraged to develop deeper relationships with other believers that result in encouragement and accountability. We will guard our hearts and commit to not allow offenses to linger, but we will be quick to ask forgiveness, forget, and move on! (Psalms 133, Matthew 5:21-26, Matthew 18:15-17)
VALUE GODLY CHARACTER
There is no substitute for godly character in the life of the believer. We hold this value in highest esteem and filter all other values through this one. Integrity, uprightness, trustworthiness and transparency are our best
foundation stones. We believe character is more important than charisma. (2 Timothy 2:2, Titus 1:6)
VALUE RAISING UP AND RELEASING LEADERS
We believe that five-fold ministers are to be servant leaders that equip and release every member of the local congregation to function in their God-ordained ministry. Our constant goal is to raise up leaders who will become lay ministry as well as others who will become church planters, and missionaries to the nations. (Ephesians 4:11-16)
At NEW COVENANT we have 15 ESSENTIAL BELIEFS we really believe and teach strongly:
THE HOLY SCRIPTURES:
We believe the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments to be the verbal and inspired word of God. The Scriptures are inerrant, infallible, God-breathed and therefore the final authority for faith and life. The sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments are the complete and divine revelation of God to man. (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1: 20-1)
We believe there is one true God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. We believe the Holy Trinity to be God revealing Himself in three Divine Persons, each distinct in office from the other, yet perfectly one – constituting one God, not three. (Matthew 28:19; Luke 3:22; John 14:9, 17:3)
THE PERSON AND WORK OF JESUS CHRIST:
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in his vicarious and atoning death on the cross, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, in His personal future return to His earth in power and in glory to rule a thousand years. (Psalm 90:2; Isaiah 43:10; Matthew 1:23; John 1:14; Acts 1:9-11; Philippians 2:13; Colossians 1:1-2; Hebrews 7:26, 9:18)
SALVATION AND THE FORGIVENESS OF SIN:
We believe the only means of being cleansed from sin is through the repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. We believe that all of us our sinners and in need of a Savior, unable to earn our salvation through doing good works and thereby destined for eternal separation and judgment from God. However, we also believe that there is Good News! That salvation is the free gift of God brought to man by grace and received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. This abundant, everlasting life with God and the forgiveness of sins is available through Jesus Christ alone and is offered to all who confess their sins and believe and trust in His death on the cross. (Isaiah 53:1-10; Luke 8:6; John 3:16, 10:10; Acts 4:12; Romans 3:23; Ephesians 2:8-10; 1 Thessalonians 5:23; 1 John 1:9)
HOLY SPIRIT AND SANCTIFICATION:
People in a saving relationship with Jesus Christ are to live in holiness and obedience as they submit to the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Trinity. Sent by the Father and the Son, the Holy Spirit applies Christ’s saving work by enlightening the minds of sinners to their need to be saved. He renews and indwells believers upon salvation becoming their source of assurance, strength, wisdom, and gifting for building up the church. The Holy Spirit guides believers in understanding and applying the Bible. Appropriated by faith, His power and control empower believers to lead a life of Christ-like character and bear fruit for the Father’s glory. (John 16:7-13, John 14:16, 17; Romans 8:9; 1 Corinthians 3:16; Ephesians 1:13; Galatians 5:16, 25)
THE HOLY SPIRIT BAPTISM:
We believe in the Baptism with the Holy Spirit, according to Acts 2:4, is given to believers who asks for it in faith. It is a distinct and separate experience to that of salvation, occurring either subsequent to or simultaneous with salvation, evidenced by a greater dynamic in the Christian’s life, enabling that person to be a bold and more effective witness for Jesus Christ, and speaking in new tongues. Every Spirit-filled believer also has the capability of speaking with new tongues whether or not he or she chooses to exercise this evidence. We believe in the present day ministry of the Holy Spirit in regard to the exercise of all Biblical gifts of the Holy Spirit according to the instructions given to us in I Corinthians 12-14. (Acts 8:12-17; 10:44-46, 11:14-16, 15:7-9; Luke 24:49; Acts 1:4, 8; 1 Corinthians 12:1-31)
We believe in divine healing was provided to the believer through Christ finished work on the cross and that it is God’s will to be healed – in spirit, soul and body. (Isaiah 53:4-5; Matthew 8:17; Acts 10:38; 1 Peter 1:4)
All who acknowledge Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord are united with Him as members of His body, the one true church. Scripture commands believers to gather for worship, prayer, fellowship, and the teaching of the Word; to observe Baptism and Communion as established by Jesus Christ; to offer service to the body through development and use of talents and gifts and outreach to the world. The local expression of the church is wherever God’s people meet regularly in obedience to this command. Cared for and led by Elders and leaders, church members are to work together in love and unity for the ultimate purpose of glorifying Christ. (Ephesians 1:22-23; 2:19-22; Mark 16:15-20; 1 Corinthians 12-14; Ephesians 4: 11-16; Matthew 28:19; 1 Corinthians 11:26)
We believe water baptism is for all believers and is to be practiced by immersion. It symbolizes our being buried with Christ unto death of self; and as Christ was raised from the dead, so shall we also walk in the newness of life. (Matthew 28:19; Mark 6:16; Acts 2:38; Romans 6:4-5; Colossians 2:12)
THE LORD’S SUPPER:
We believe the Lord’s Supper (communion) using the physical elements of bread and the fruit of the vine is to be done in remembrance of the shed blood and body of Christ proclaiming His death on the cross for us. (Luke 22:19; Corinthians 11:17-30; 2 Peter 1:4)
We believe that every Christian is a steward of that portion of God’s wealth entrusted to him and is obligated to support the local church financially. We believe God established the tithe (10% of the gross income – the first fruits) as a basis for giving, and that every Christian should also give other offerings, both sacrificially and cheerfully, t the support of the church, the relief of those in need, and to spread the Gospel. (Proverbs 3:9-10; Malachi 3:10-11; Matthew 23:23; Luke 14:42; 1 Corinthians 10:11)
Death seals the eternal destiny of each person. All humanity will experience a bodily resurrection and a judgment that will determine the fate of each individual. Having rejected God, unbelievers will suffer eternal condemnation apart from Him. Believers will be received into eternal communion with God and will be rewarded for works done in this life. (John 3:16; John 2:25; John 5: 11-13; Romans 6:23; Revelation 20:15; Matthew 25:41; Revelation 21:24)
CHRIST SECOND COMING:
We believe Christ’s second coming and judgment on the earth. He
will come in the air to resurrect the righteous dead and gather all His living Saints to ever be with Him (1 Corinthians 15:51-52; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; 2 Thessalonians 2:1). After this, there will be a new heaven and a new earth. (Revelation 21)
We believe that God created mankind in His image: male (man) and female (woman), sexually different but with equal personal dignity. We don’t not recognize the legitimacy of physically changing or altering ones predominant biological sex. (Genesis 1:26-28; 1 Corinthians 6:9-13)
We believe God has ordained and created marriage as the exclusive, comprehensive, and “one flesh” union of one man and one woman, intrinsically ordered for the revelation of God, for the joy of man and woman, and for procreation and biological family, and in furtherance of the moral, spiritual, and public good of binding father, mother, and child. (Genesis 1:27-28; 2:18-24; Matthew 19:4-9; Mark 10:5-9; Ephesians 5:31-33)
We also believe that God commanded that no intimate sexual activity should be engaged in outside of marriage between one man and one woman. We believe that any form of homosexuality, lesbianism, bisexuality, incest, fornication, adultery, and pornography are sinful perversions God’s gift of sex. The good news, however, is that as with all sins, these too can be forgiven through the heartfelt admission of our sins and belief in the shed blood of Jesus Christ death on the cross for us. (Genesis 2:24, 19:5,13; Leviticus 18:1-30; Romans 1:26-29; 1 Corinthians 5:1, 6:9; 1 Thessalonians 4:1-8; Hebrews 13:4; 1 John 1:9)
We believe in the sanctity of human life. We believe that human life begins at conception and that the unborn child is a living human being. Abortion constitutes the unjustified, unexcused taking of an unborn human life. Abortion is murder. Therefore, the Church opposes elective abortion for personal or social convenience, and counsels its members not to submit to, perform, encourage, pay for, or arrange for such abortions.
The church’s position on this matter remains unchanged. The good news, however, is that as with all sins, these too can be forgiven through the heartfelt admission of our sins and belief in the shed blood of Jesus Christ death on the cross for us.
The church calls believers to show Christian compassion and to offer support to those experiencing unwanted pregnancies as well as to those who have undergone abortions. Further, it calls believers to speak out against the atrocity of abortion, to promote action and legislation that reflect the teaching of Scripture regarding the sanctity of human life, and to reject all violence against those who perpetrate abortion. (Job 3:26; Psalm 51:5, 139:14-16; Isaiah 44:24, 49:1,5; Jeremiah 1:5, 20:15-16; Luke 1:44)

As a part of the Church of God denomination, here are a few things to known concerning our affiliation:
- Our church chooses its Senior Pastor with the direction of our State Overseer, who may have the final say in some situations.
- The Senior Pastor is accountable to the District Overseer.
- Our church's properties and assets are owned by the Church of God denomination.
- Our Senior Pastor determines the programs and ministry direction of our church.
- Our church governs itself by the Church of God Constitutional By-laws.
This policy sets out standards and principles that express loving faithfulness and service to Christ as a condition of service with NEW COVENANT, whether as a volunteer or an employee.
In all its endeavors, NEW COVENANT seeks to glorify God. Volunteers and employees of NEW COVENANT are required to fully support the mission, vision and core values of NEW COVENANT, to endorse the Christian commitment of the membership, and to conduct themselves in a manner consistent with principles of Scripture. The points outlined in this policy are based on Scripture, which is accepted by NEW COVENANT to be the final authority in matters of faith and conduct. All who serve with NEW COVENANT are encouraged to establish personal, spiritual disciplines that will foster and promote a deep, intimate relationship with God, which is essential to effective service as a Christian believer. This includes prayer, Bible study, regular church attendance, and sharing of faith and beliefs with others. Active membership with beliefs that are consistent with NEW COVENANT's statement of faith is a requirement to demonstrate a personal commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ.

In the event of a violation or breach of these standards, NEW COVENANT will attempt to bring about the restoration of the individual in order to maintain a working relationship with the organization dependent upon the nature and extent of the violation or breach.
The “discipline” process allows for a three-stage process, the second and third stages being at the total discretion of NEW COVENANT. The first stage of discipline shall be a review of the problem by the Ministry Lead and/or the Pastor together with the employee or volunteer. The second stage of discipline is the “restorative” process which is dependent not only on the repentance by the individual employed or volunteering in reference to the conduct complained of, but also on the nature and severity of the breach or violation. In the second stage of discipline, NEW COVENANT may recommend that the employee or volunteer undergo professional counselling and assessments and may apply a probationary period of service to allow for the correction of the conduct or behavior of the employee or volunteer. When restoration is deemed complete and is determined to be successful, as determined in the sole discretion of NEW COVENANT, then NEW COVENANT will provide ongoing support and accountability for the individual employee or volunteer. The third stage of discipline is the termination of the working relationship between the employee or volunteer and NEW COVENANT. As the violation of this policy is recognized by NEW COVENANT and the employee or volunteer as a fundamental breach of the relationship, the employee or volunteer accepts that NEW COVENANT may in its sole discretion terminate the relationship without notice or compensation. At functions where an individual is attending as a representative of NEW COVENANT, abstinence from the use of tobacco and alcohol is required out of respect for the diversity of opinion within the evangelical community on the use of these products, and to give extra care to avoid causing an offense or setting an inappropriate example. The use of tobacco is discouraged out of consideration for the health and wellbeing of the individual and his or her work associates and family.
